Daily program: A short trip through Kenya with Masai Mara

Day 1: Nairobi - Masai Mara National Reserve

We leave the capital Nairobi and drive to the Masai Mara, which is world-famous for its endless plains filled with wildlife and its spectacular beauty. The visit to the Masai Mara is conducted in safari vehicles and not in an overland truck. For this reason, we pack a small overnight bag for the trip to bring a towel, clothes, toiletries, and the essential camping gear.

Day 2: Masai Mara National Reserve

The hilly grasslands of the Masai Mara provide an ideal basis for wildlife sightings and photography. Some of the animals that can be spotted here include elephants, black rhinos, water buffalo, leopards, cheetahs, wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles. Hippos and crocodiles inhabit the muddy brown waters of the rivers winding through the reserve. We spend the entire day on safari driving through the Mara in search of all the animals.

Day 3: Lake Nakuru National Park

We say goodbye to the Mara in the morning and continue towards Nakuru National Park, where we enjoy an afternoon safari through the park. Lake Nakuru is home to huge flocks of flamingos and pelicans as well as black and white rhinos, leopards, lions, and numerous antelope. Lake Nakuru was originally created as a bird sanctuary and received national park status in 1968.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru - Nairobi

We wake up early, say goodbye to Lake Nakuru, and head towards Nairobi. Upon arrival in Nairobi, we visit the Nairobi Giraffe Centre, followed by a safari drive through Nairobi National Park. Nairobi National Park is home to black rhinos, lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, and so many more.
